If you’ve been spending any time drifting or cruising in Forza Horizon 6, you already know how gorgeous the game looks. But you also probably know how frustrating it can be when you’re dying to take some photos in the heavy fog or practice a specific drift build in the winter snow, only to find out the server is stuck on clear summer skies for the next five days.Because the main shared world operates on a fixed, server-side weekly live cycle, you can't just open a menu and change the global season or weather on the fly during standard free roam or story mode. The official online world changes every Thursday when the Festival Playlist refreshes, running through a strict order: Summer, then Autumn, Winter, and finally Spring. Right before the live server shifts, you'll see a 10-minute countdown box pop up at the top of your screen, but otherwise, you're at the mercy of the weekly schedule.Fortunately, there is a brilliant workaround. If you want absolute control over the environment, the absolute best way to do it is by using an EventLab Blueprint trick to build your own private sandbox.The EventLab Sandbox TrickThis method effectively gives you a private map where you can lock in your exact preferred time, weather, and seasonal settings. As a massive bonus, it completely turns off AI traffic, leaving you with empty roads to test car builds or just cruise in peace.Here is how to set it up:

1. Open the World Builder: Open your in-game menu, navigate over to ANNA, and select "Create New Route." Go ahead and pick whatever car you want to use to jump into the world builder menu.
2. Drop a Quick Finish Line: Drive a little bit away from your starting point. It’s best to head to an out-of-the-way or secluded area so it stays out of your sight. Open your Route Creator options, select "Place Finish Line," and then hit "Finish Route."
3. Save it: Save the route under whatever name you want.
4. Tweak the Event Settings: In the EventLab menu, select "Create Event With This Route" and open up the "Event Settings." This is where the magic happens. Make sure to change these specific configurations:
   • Max Number of Drivatars: Toggle this to "Off." This is what wipes out the annoying AI traffic.
   • Season: Choose whichever vibe you're hunting for—Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter.
   • Weather / Time of Day Mode: Switch this from "Freeroam" to "Custom." Now you can pick specific atmospheres like Heavy Fog, Heavy Precipitation, Clear Post Rain, or Light Night.
   • Time Progression: Switch this from "Rolling" to "Fixed." This freezes the time and lighting so your custom atmosphere doesn't change or get ruined while you’re driving.
5. Launch and Explore: Select "Validate" to launch your newly created route, pick your favorite ride, and roll out.

The crucial trick here is simple: just don't drive across the finish line you placed. As long as you avoid it, you can cruise, drift, or tweak your builds in your custom perfect weather for as long as you want. When you're finally done, just exit the event.Changing Weather Quickly for Standard RacesIf you don't care about free-roaming and just want to experience a standard race under a different sky, you don't need to build a whole sandbox. You can easily alter existing events on the map:

• Drive over to any race event icon on your map and open it up.
• Instead of starting the default race, look for the "Custom Event" or "Blueprint" option.
• Inside that menu, you can adjust the seasonal environment and weather settings to your exact liking before the race starts.

Just keep in mind that this only alters the environment for the duration of that specific race event. Once the race is over and you drop back into the open world, you’ll be right back to whatever the global server season happens to be.Until the developers decide to give us a dedicated free-roam weather slider, utilizing the EventLab blueprint route is easily the most seamless way to bend the elements to your will.
